No, our service works over the internet, so you don't need a physical SIM card. Once your number ports in, you can bin your SIM and use our app or web portal to retrieve your voicemails and inbound SMS.

You are NOT able to make calls or send messages from ExpatTel. Our purpose is to ensure that your number stays active and isn't lost or disconnected when you move overseas. We do not support the ability to make calls, send messages or receive live calls via our service.
